Rules and Regulations:
- 1. All participating teams MUST have been registered prior to the deadline of July 1st, 2019.
- 2. All participating teams must abide by the CMA Vadamvali Rules and Regulations.
- 3. Every participant of the Vadamvali tournament should at least have a parent of Kerala origin.
- 4. It is the responsibility of each team to avoid injury producing tactics.
- 5. In the event of a serious injury it is the responsibility of the respective team to take appropriate action for the wellbeing of each player.
- 6. The organizing Committee Members will not be held liable or responsible for any type of loss including but not limited to Personal injury and safety of any participating teams or individuals.
- 7. Each team member will have to submit a signed wavier form at the time of registration/weight checking.
- 8. Each team member should have to bring a government issued identification with photo at the time of registration/weight checking.
- 9. The tournament committee of CMA reserves the right to change any of the following rules on the day of the tournament to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances and to safeguard the integrity of the tournament.
- 10. Wearing spikes shoes are not permitted in the tournament.
- 11. Before the start of every match (that is, League Round, Semi-Finals and Finals), the tournament officials reserve the right to perform body check on each member of the participating team.
- 12. Unusual body wears will not be permitted in the tournament.
- 13. In case of any foul play, it will totally be at the discretion of tournament officials to decide the further course of action which may also end up in disqualification of the respective teams.
- 14. Identification: - CMA will provide wrist bands to each team member after checking and finalizing the team weight.
- 15. Thereafter, a photo of the complete team (including Coach and Substitute) will be taken.
- 16. Players are not allowed to remove these bands until the completion of the match. If found otherwise, can lead to the disqualification of the respective team.
- 17. Each team is permitted to appoint only one representative as a spokesperson to communicate with the Tournament Officials.
- 18. Any unwanted incidents/consequences must be avoided.
- 19. The game will be played most probably on a grass field/flat concrete/tar field. However, tournament officials reserve the right to change under any unavoidable circumstances.
- 20. Main Referee decision will be final and binding.
* Time of Weighing will be from 10.00 AM to 11.30 AM
- 1. Each team can appoint one of their nominated members to be on site to verify the weights of other teams.
- 2. No appeals will be permitted after the weight of a particular team is finalized and wrist bands tied.
- 3. The wrist bands of each participating team member will be verified before the start of each match.
CLASS 'A' RULE
- Maximum team weight – 590 kilograms.
- Number of team players – Maximum of 7 players.
Substitutes (Class ‘A’ Rule)
- 1. Only one substitution per team will be allowed in the tournament.
- 2. Substitution will be permitted at the discretion of the tournament officials, only after verifying the replacing members physical inability to continue in the tournament.
- 3. A team member can be replaced by a substitute who is either equivalent or lesser in weight.
Game Officials
- A main Referee and Linesmen will be assigned for all games in the tournament.
Tournament Fixtures
- ● There will be only 1 match for each game during league rounds.
- ● Semi-final round onwards every game will be best of three.
